The Fishpond itself has everything a discerning couple could possibly need. From the moment you enter this cosy pub you are welcomed by the friendly team, who ensure that you and your guests are having a fabulous time.
The Ballroom
Our beautifully restored 1920’s ballroom retains many of its original features, and makes the ideal reception room. It’s also licensed for civil ceremonies and make a lovely spacious room for your wedding vows. The beauty of this room is the flexibility it offers in terms of layout and in accommodating a range of uses.
When hiring the ballroom you will have access to your own fully equipped private bar, flexible seating plans, table linen , an audio system, staging blocks, lighting, smoking area, toilet facilities and dedicated serving staff . You also have the option of a full set up service included in the price, or if you prefer we can step back and allow you to get hands on adding your own finishing touches.
Raft and Terrace
The Raft is very popular for wedding ceremonies, due to the oak beamed vaulted ceiling, but it works equally well for smaller wedding breakfasts and when hired in conjunction with the ballroom as an additional reception room.
Adjoining the raft room is a beautiful terrace which benefits from the sun in the warmer months, making it ideal for post ceremony receptions and early evening gatherings. The terrace can be set up to suit your needs, and boasts the added benefit of having its own fully equipped bar.
Our terrace also makes a lovely location for your wedding photographs with our waterfall and pond, views over the pub, down into the village and beyond.
