In the heart of Matlock Bath and set close to the River Derwent in a stunning gorge stands the Fishpond, a much loved free house both locally and further afield.

A warm welcome guaranteed, we think we have something for everyone! With a wide range of local cask ale, craft beer and traditional ciders to an extensive list of spirits topped off with some fine wines and a good selection of no/low alcohol drinks, all served by our amazing front of house team!

Our kitchen team are passionately dedicated about the food they produce, from wood fired pizza to carvery and somewhere in between all of this, an ever-evolving bar menu with some fresh, homecooked dishes that may surprise. Add to that a sprinkling of daily specials for good measure and our food is something we are all very proud of.

Live music and support for local musicians runs through our foundations. With live music every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday you can be assured dull moments are few and far between!
